A stupid question for many, but I really have no idea…
… I'm invited to an online meeting for the third time. Via Cisco Webex. I downloaded the app or the program, but apparently I don't have a device with which I can participate properly.
It didn't work on either of our computers or on our laptop.
I saw the other participants but didn't hear them, although I can listen to music on our device and had headphones plugged in.
What can that be?
They didn't see a picture of myself either, which is probably due to the fact that none of our devices have a camera.
So I have not been able to follow the meetings so far because I have not heard any sound and have not received a picture of myself.
What accessories do I have to get so that it works next time?
And what do I have to set differently, if necessary? I made all settings and sound checks and restarted, logged in, etc. But apparently I'm missing some hardware (or software, I don't know)
This even works with any cheap headset and of course with the built-in microphone and speakers. Maybe you just forgot to switch the webex meeting to the correct audio device. Or the audio device was simply too quiet. But actually there are no special requirements at all. As soon as the Cisco plugin is downloaded and activated it must work.
