How do I turn on the camera on my laptop?

We use the Webex app for webinars. We often want all participants to switch on their cameras. Unfortunately, I can't do it, which is why I'm looking for help here.

According to Webex, when I have the camera on, it only shows an image from a crossed-out camera. Unfortunately, the F8 key doesn't change anything.

I have already tried whether it is Webex itself, but the same crossed-out camera is also displayed when I open Skype, for example.

According to the settings, the camera is activated for apps.

When I open the camera on the laptop myself, it says that the camera can't be started because it is apparently already being used by another app.

I'm really in a fix, I hope you can help me.

I have a Lenovo laptop with Windows 10.

FN + F8?
Otherwise, search for the device manufacturer and reinstall the cam driver

pa

Does this tell you something: Windows Camera App error code 0xA00F424

Di

You may need a new driver. Or the antivirus software is blocking the system.

pa

I don't have any antivirus software

Qu

Yes there are 2 options

Deactivate the anti virus software and test or reinstall the driver

Is it a laptop cam or a usb cam? The manufacturer and model of the laptop would be good, otherwise you can send the driver link

Di

Then it's probably the driver.

pa

It's a laptop cam

As far as I know, the built-in webcam on Lenovo laptops can be switched on and off with the F8 key. - It should have a camera symbol.

If the message that the switched-on camera is being used by another app does not disappear, close all applications on the laptop (apps + programs) and then restart the laptop, ie: select "Restart" in the switch-off menu.
After that, everything should be fine again.

pa

I tried that. Unfortunately, everything didn't work

Can i trust the site and download this: https://www.microsoft.com/.../windows10

Ru

Are you sure you didn't make a mistake?

Ru

Certainly, because this is an official Microsoft site.

Just why would you want to download a Win10 ISO file? - Do you want to reinstall Win10 because of the webcam problem?
That would not be the first choice. - I'm afraid that this will only cause you new problems.
