You have to consider the cheaper the printer, the more expensive the ink. Most of the time, the ink is more expensive than the printer itself.
I'd rather spend more money and invest in an eco-tank or smart tank printer. There are no ink cartridges in there, but the ink is refilled with bottles. You have very low printing costs. This can be connected via USB and Wi-Fi. You have to install the driver CD, otherwise it won't work. If you don't have a drive, the instructions also contain the download link for the driver. It is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Printing and scanning with a smartphone / tablet is also possible, all you have to do is install the free HP Smart app. This establishes a direct WLAN connection to the printer and enables scanning and printing in various paper formats. There's also a scan and print preview.
