Extend notebook monitor with another?

I have a notebook, which I also use. I also have a monitor. Monitor and notebook have VGA connection.

Now I want to add another real monitor to my notebook monitor, so that I can move something from NotebookMonitor to the right monitor, for example.

Are there any devices for this?

I just connected the monitor to the notebook via VGA cable, but it reflects what is happening on the other monitor.

Under Windows you simply press "Windows key and P"… Then you come to the appropriate menu and select "expand".
