I bought a cheap microphone for my studies. When it arrived, I unfortunately found that it shakes when I shake it. (I noticed it when I unpacked it).
I wanted to try it anyway and you can hear a loud hum and very quietly me when I speak.
With my roommate over TS you can also hear a hum, but it is a little louder (with me in the TS you can hear me a little better than eg in discord but the hum is still dominant)
Does anyone have any idea what else I could do?
I was already looking for updates, tried all USB sockets on my laptop
A microphone that rattles has a problem inside, mostly due to a fall during transport…
Components may have come loose, ground connections may have fallen off.
Send it back, because you still have a guarantee…
If it was not a new purchase, you can go in carefully and give up everything that falls out and lose nothing.
