How can I set up my HDMI?

To the IT freaks: I'm in possession of a Sony Vaio with complete screen damage (so I see nothing), but it could connect with HDMI to a monitor or TV. Now I have completely deleted my hard drive and installed Windows 7. Unfortunately, I do not think he has the HDMI driver yet. Have the hard drive installed in another laptop and then has automatically made updates. So on the other laptop but HDMI does not work on my Sony unfortunately. What else could you try? How can I force my PC to update even though I do not see anything?

Do you adapt or something like that?

Try Windows key + p. Then the selection menu would have come, but you do not see. Use the arrow key + enter to see if something can be achieved.

If you do not get the image cloned with Windows key + P, then you can see if you have a VGA port and connect a screen there. That would actually have to do without a separate driver.

Alternatively, you could use another laptop to download the HDMI driver for your notebook and remember the installation procedure (connect USB, select file, if necessary set CD and automatic start). Then perform the update "blind" with a 1: 1 check on another device.

Otherwise, I would not know any way to force your laptop itself to hardware updates.

VGA does not work either.

No no adapters

That's really funny. For example, my laptop has a problem with being too modern for an old VGA monitor. Despite adapter that did not work out.

Have you ever tried to switch to Advanced or Duplicate with Windows Key + P? It may be that the "PC only screen" is. Then that can't work. Otherwise you can put the hard disk into the other laptop again and install Chrome Remote Desktop: https://chrome.google.com/...jmpp?hl=de
Then you can remotely on the broken laptop on it and see better what's going on.

Alternatively you can simply buy a new display. They are not too expensive either
