Since I have installed a new RAM in my msi gl63, I have been randomly getting a still picture shortly before I lose my internet connection. At the bottom right when I click on the WLAN symbol, all WLAN connections are gone and immediately afterwards my laptop stops and I have no choice but to switch it off with the button. Unfortunately this happens more often and it can't be due to the RAM because I bought 2 new ones after which I noticed the first one.
Would be very grateful for any help.
And if you deactivate your WLAN and only use LAN, is it the same? Or even take the WLAN module out of the notebook?
Thank you for your prompt reply. I have now ordered a LAN cable and will give it a try. The funny thing is that I have now taken out the second ram and everything is working properly again. It seems that it only works if only one ram is installed. As soon as I insert a second one I get the problem again. It doesn't matter which ram I insert and in which slot, because I've already tried everything.
Then maybe the RAM controller has a quirk.
But first try that with the LAN.
So despite Lan cable I get a freeze shortly before I lose the internet connection while gaming. And it doesn't matter which game I play. I'm starting to despair…
Have you installed Windows again?
Yes, I've already tried that.
Yes, but that won't help because a long time ago the notebook fell out of my hand and the case is damaged. In addition, there's also the opening to install a ram.
RAM is not the problem. Maybe the fall.
