I bought a laptop and now I have to download a lot. That's why I wanted to charge it overnight, but I have to say that the device sometimes just loses connection via Wi-Fi. When connecting, there's this little globe and "No Internet, Connected". We use the FritzBox 7360 SL. Only when I then press Disconnect and then reconnect does it continue to load normally. This abort happens every 15 minutes to 3 hours. I also noticed this on my normal desktop PC. I loaded all the latest updates on the two devices and the router is also set correctly. Does anyone have an idea? Or maybe already experienced it yourself?
Search times in the settings of your router whether it is true. After a time restart, this could be the problem if your PC does not turn on. Wi-Fi after a while, so take a look at the energy options
What operating system do you work with? Sounds like windows XP somehow
Windows 10 on all devices
Have looked but could not find anything to suggest. The problem has only been there for 4 days so nothing has changed in the router.
With windows 10 there's no "small globe" for the display of Wi-Fi, only this stair-shaped bar icon
If you no longer have a connection then you only see a globe, see example here https://windowsarea.de/2018/10/windows-10-19h1-neuerungen-die-wichtigsten-aenderungen-bisher/amp/
Ok, the icon is unknown to me, although I run 2 notebooks with win 10.
Could it be that there's something in the energy installations that switches off important components after a time (set by default) to save energy?
I currently have that with the laptop, nothing has worked so far, not even installing the WLAN adapter driver from the manufacturer.
It runs for a few minutes, then the connection breaks. Only by disconnecting and re-establishing the Internet is there again.
Next I'll change the WLAN adapter in the laptop.
If you discover a solution please write me.
I'll definitely do it
Akira first try to set your network profile to private if the laptop is only used at home. And not at public hotspots
