Transfer data from broken laptop to new laptop. How?
My laptop has given up after 6½ years of faithful service. In order to transfer my old data (200 GB) to the new laptop, I removed the old hard drive. It is a Seagate Momentus Thin with 500 GB of available memory. I think the cable to connect the old hard drive to the new laptop should be at least USB 3.0, otherwise I will need an extremely long time. Now the questions: What is the connection to the old hard drive? How do I transfer the files afterwards? What problems do I face and how do I fix them?
