How can i stop this?

I hardly ever use Chrome and it still runs in the background. Then every time I have to close Chrome completely using the Task Manager to have the usual FPS again in the game, the normal speed of my laptop again. I don't want to delete Chrome now. (This was also the case with Firefox)

Use firefox. Is more economical

Chrome has been under heavy usage lately

If you almost never use Chrome, I would uninstall it. Otherwise, you can switch off Chrome running in the background in the settings.

Where can I change that?

Pr

Click 3 points at the top right → Settings → Click on Advanced on the left → System → Turn off top option.

My Chrome is in English, so the settings may have a slightly different name.

Many Thanks.

Otherwise Microsoft Edge is very economical. But I'm more of a fan of Firefox myself.
