I will stay in the hospital for 2 weeks (or 3).
There's no Wi-Fi and that means for me that I have to download films / series on my laptop.
Question: How much GB does a video / film take for 50 minutes?
And before someone comes and says you can't download any films / series - but I can
With Netflix you can set the quality of the download, with a film you need 1 GB or more per hour.
It depends on the resolution. You can shorten 3 hours to 800mb or 10GB for a BluRay.
Just download a few Netflix series. The offline function makes it possible.
For example on 720P? Yes, but there's just what I'm looking for on netflix
Well, strictly speaking you have to download films to see them, normally you just download small parts and don't keep them afterwards. As far as the download size is concerned, it depends on the quality, if you download the films in 8k, for example, you have a problem because your laptop does not have such a high resolution and your memory would be used up very quickly. But if you look like any other normal person in 1080p you need about 400-500mb an hour.
250-300mb an hour?
It's a little bit awesome, that's more like 480 × 360.
Is there a Netflix offline function?
I also just noticed that it was for SD, so I quickly changed it again on the basis of 31, and now the comment is here completely without context…
Is often so xD
Yo. So I always downloaded a few episodes offline for work. 😅
Depends on the resolution and the compression.
Well compressed your 720p film could only be 300mb.
But probably more like 1GB or more.
If you want to download movies, you don't need a flat rate, do you? At least if you already download them at home.
If you download the films on Netflix, they use around 1.0GB per hour.
Compressed it is already clear…
I compressed an anime sequence in 1080p to around 150mb on my external hard drive. And that's 25 minutes.
Noticeably compressed, but not bad now.
Well that is so compressed that my laptop is too slow to decompress it xD (well, lag). But it works on my desktop.
Yes, I download them at home. I ask how I have more than 200gb free
That should be enough for several hours.
Wish you a get well soon:-)
OK thank you.
