I want to get a monitor for my laptop, does the monitor have its own power cable or is the battery used by the laptop?

Gr

The power cable goes into the socket and hdmi into the, so the laptop battery is no longer burdened

Own power cable!

If you don't want that, then an All in One PC is also quite nice. See imac, but now there are very good ones on Windows from almost every manufacturer

I know what you have in mind, but the only option would be a monitor with its own battery.

Usually the monitor needs its own power supply. Or do you want to carry the external monitor around with you too? Then it becomes difficult without an external power supply because a monitor does not have its own battery and no power supply is transmitted via the video connection (usually HDMI) but only video and audio signals.

So: buy a distributor socket.

No, I only saw no power connection in the pictures of the monitor I want to buy

With small monitors there's sometimes a micro usb port for the power supply with which you can connect a micro usb to usb cable directly to the laptop: For larger panels you have to do this with a power cable that goes into the socket: https://www.amazon.de/...015P6O1US/

Which is that? I'll bet a case of excellent beer the monitor needs a power point. Either directly from the socket (230 V) or via a power supply unit. But that's in the description.
