Tach!
I have a Lapton at home and my dad a real PC (with screen etc). We once had it that we each had a folder that both could access from their PC. When my sister stayed with us, she was able to access it.
For example, my father packed some songs there and I was able to pull them out and put them on my laptop.
For some time, this was no longer possible, what could this be, or how to set it up again?
You need to share a folder on the network
When did it last work and when did you last use the folder before? What is this folder based on? Do you use a tool (SVN, GIThub or via WINSCP or similar via an SFTP protocol?)
I do not know, my father had done that, I think. I have not quite that much idea. It's been a while since we used that. I only noticed it recently, when I wanted to send him something and thought the folder was quite practical for it.
It's also just a folder on the network.
As long as you're in the same network, yes… However, the sister does not live at home anymore and the boy has a laptop that you want to use on the go
You have to share the folder on the PC where it should be saved. Just google it, depending on which OS you use. If you have ne Fritzbox you can set up a network drive on most models.
Ne do not have Fritzbox. But thanks.
