My internet on my laptop goes off every five minutes, nowhere else. Box is on, everything is normal, but where the WLAN symbol is actually there's this globe with this crossed-out circle. It says that my Wi-Fi is switched off and that I can decide whether I want to switch it on manually or after a certain time. But I can't turn it on either because it's on, when I click on it it turns off. My internet doesn't work then, I restart my laptop and then it works for a short time and then exactly the same thing happens again. It only works when I connect my LAN cable. It worked again for a couple of hours and now it's exactly the same again.
You have to upgrade the router and the WLAN card in the laptop to 5 GHz. Then the WLAN runs on the laptop
How about the lankabel as a permanent solution?
Otherwise it sounds in my opinion. After a software problem e.g. The drivers for the WLAN card or the WLAN stick. Especially since it also works on all other devices.
To be on the safe side, I would chase a virus scanner over it and see if it finds something and reinstall the drivers for the Wi-Fi hardware.
The lank cable is out of the question for me, I have to lay the cable from the living room to my room and that's just annoying because then I can't close my door either. I've had it like that for several months now and it's annoying. Now that I have the new internet and the connection is good enough, I want to use my Wi-Fi too.
