Linux does not start properly?

I wanted to install the latest version of Linux on my old laptop, but since I plugged in the USB stick, booted from it and did nothing so that it starts automatically, nothing works.

Is the stick bootable? Bootloader or GRUB seems to be missing.

Bo

I downloaded it with img32 or something

Rufus is a better option. Note FAT32 and partitioning.

Although the article applies to Mint, the approach is the same for all distributions.
