Microsoft Surface?

How do you like the Microsoft Surface as a laptop for studying for university etc?

If you have the money I recommend a MacBook, of course, but if not any laptop with at least 8GB RAM, a very fast SSD with a lot of capacity (optional depending on what you need) then the brand does not matter, the main thing is that you are happy with it

Yes, a MacBook is unfortunately way too expensive for me… Just wanted to ask about experiences. But thanks!

No experience report, but just a brief opinion on convertibles in general.

At the beginning of my studies I also got a convertible, but recently I also got an iPad. In retrospect, I should have bought a normal, cheaper laptop, just for typing, and then an iPad (not a pro, normal one). I think the combination is perfect, because an iPad like this is extremely practical and Apple is always overpriced, but there's no real alternative with the iPad. No other device has the typing experience you get on an iPad.

But it also depends a little on your studies. In terms of design or architecture, an iPad Pro would definitely be worthwhile, while in the humanities you can certainly get along just fine without a touch screen.
