Wi-Fi problems on the laptop?

I have the problem that I have a very bad connection on my laptop (despite being in close proximity to the router).

I didn't always have the problem, but only for about half a year (but it wasn't that bad because I didn't need the laptop at that time).

I have Windows 10 and have restored the device as a measure.

The problem is only on the laptop (Sony)

One possibility, for example, would be to look for the wireless driver for your wireless card. These must always be updated.

Another possibility would be general updates that the laptop needs.

If these options don't work, you can reset your notebook completely, then it should work at the latest!

I would also check to see if the drivers need updating.

Turn off Bluetooth on the laptop, it tends to interfere with the 2.4 GHz WLAN.

If this is the case, switch to 5 GHz WLAN.

PS:

It could also be that the internal WLAN antennas (small plugs) have come loose. The antennas are often located in the cover and the WLAN module on / in the motherboard. Frequent opening and closing can also cause a cable break in the WLAN antenna cables (in the hinge) after several years.
