A free program for Windows 10, with which one can create videos?

We're to create a small video for the school. On my laptop I have the "Windows Movie Maker 2012" but that is too old for me. Or maybe I'm wrong about the program?

With the Movie Maker you can easily create videos. Depends on your claims and what you want to do, but in itself is absolutely sufficient, as long as you do not want to add fancy 3D effects or anything else and edit.
