Reset laptop to factory settings?

The Wi-Fi function of my laptop has been on strike the day before yesterday. When I turned on the laptop on Thursday, nothing worked anymore, I also do not get any WLAN networks displayed where I would have been, the only option is via LAN cable. Could someone help me who knows about it or would it help to bring the laptop back to the factory settings, would that solve my problem?

I have Windows 10 …

Probably it shot you the driver, then resetting probably won't help either.

Look in the device manager if the network card shows no problems.

First name the manufacturer and model of the laptop, otherwise nobody will be able to help you here.

Turn the laptop over, it says everything on the nameplate.

My first advice on something like this is:

Shut down the laptop, then remove the battery, then switch on (without power pack and without battery) so that the residual current from the laptop is "used up".

Then connect ONLY the power adapter (battery remains removed) and start the laptop normally.

Then shut down (switch off) the laptop.

Now remove the power supply, put the battery back in, connect the power supply and start the laptop. Maybe then he'll go right again.

My 2nd advice is:

Open the device manager and delete / remove your wireless / WLAN adapter from the device manager. Then shutdown and restart. The laptop will recognize your WLAN / wireless adapter when it starts and set it up freshly. Maybe then he'll go right again.

My 3rd advice is:

Download the driver of the WLAN / Wireless Adapter from the manufacturer's website and install it according to the manufacturer's instructions.

PS:

Resetting to factory settings is only recommended in absolute emergencies. Because then your data is all gone!

You write: "When I switched on the laptop on Thursday, nothing worked anymore, I also don't see any WLAN networks". - Question: What exactly do you mean by "nothing"?

The WLAN may have been unintentionally deactivated using an Fn key combination. - See your manual.
Another way would be to go to "Settings> Network and Internet> WLAN" and switch on the WLAN there.

Another possibility would be that the "flight mode" has been activated.
It could be turned off in the "Notifications window on the right or in" Settings> Network and Internet> Airplane mode "

Sorry that I'm only now writing, yesterday something went wrong… So the WLAN function is switched on in the settings, the flight mode is also deactivated, but there's no WLAN. And if I want to check which wireless networks are available, I get 0 pieces where I always got the neighborhood networks displayed.

It all happened from one day to the other without doing mine. I'm really at a loss, I can't go back to advertising settings either, because then I can't install Kaspersky's antivirus system anymore because I haven't written the key anywhere. No plan what's going on here…

If there's no hardware fault here, a system restore should help, in which a restore point must be selected, the time of which is clearly before the occurrence of this problem.
