If your Windows7 was activated, your hardware ID is in Microsoft's database. You create a setup USB stick with the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, and you make your setup without entering a serial number. Just click "I don't have one" - then run the custom installation where you delete the partitions of the hard drive (after backing up your data, of course). In the end, your computer connects to Microsoft and receives a digital serial number from there, and the Windows is reactivated.
