Reinstall Windows (Windows installation media required)

So I bought a key for little money and made the windows 7 iso file once on a usb and burned it to a cd once. However, the pc does not recognize any of it

Yes, upgrade the computer to Windows 10. If there's still a free way to keep the computer up to its end, even to have a free Windows, you replace the times.

If your Windows7 was activated, your hardware ID is in Microsoft's database. You create a setup USB stick with the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, and you make your setup without entering a serial number. Just click "I don't have one" - then run the custom installation where you delete the partitions of the hard drive (after backing up your data, of course). In the end, your computer connects to Microsoft and receives a digital serial number from there, and the Windows is reactivated.

After 6 major updates, the inconsistencies in Win10 are eliminated, there's no longer any reason to stay at 7, and you will continue to receive all updates in the future. At 7 it will be over next year, and if this activation database is deleted at some point, you will measure Win10 then buy.
