Wi-Fi is no longer connected to a laptop?

My laptop actually finds all wireless connections but somehow not ours. We have recently set up a new wireless router and I have before I connected my laptop with the wireless, made it first with a Lankabel to test the speed. When I got rid of the Lankabel and wanted to connect it wirelessly, the connection did not find any more. I was not too far away or anything. Now I always have to use a meter-long cable to sit quietly on the laptop. Does anyone know if that can be done differently?

This is difficult to answer because we do not know the settings that are active on the router. But now I have two potential sources of error spontaneously.

1 .: The WLAN is hidden and you have to find the WLAN Manuel. To do this, click on Add Wi-Fi network (or similar) and then enter the SSID (name of the network, as it normally appears in the available connections) and the password.

If this does not create a connection, look if the WLAN is running at 5ghz or 2.4ghz and what the laptop can receive.

Can you please tell me what router model you have created? Then maybe I can help more.

I looked up my IP address because of the 2.4 and 5ghz, both were enabled so I guess 5ghz. And unfortunately I only know that it is a cable router.

Oh and my laptop can probably only receive 1.90 GHz, it is probably or is it?

Ma

No, definitely not 1.9 GHz. Because the 1.9 GHz is probably the CPU clock frequencies. There's no WLAN at 1.9 GHz.

You've already looked at the configuration page of the router (192.168? 1) and have seen that it is probably a dual-band wireless router and both SSID's are enabled.

Dualband WLAN means two WLANs (2.4 GHz often n standard and 5 GHz often ac standard) at the same time. So a dual-band WLAN can actually receive any device.

Ma

Computer already restarted (not only sleep mode, but restart properly!).

As I see it is not on the router, which makes Wi-Fi

at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz simultaneously.

It must be due to Windows! Go through this Microsoft wizard to fix most issues:

Here's a better guide to getting rid of Wi-Fi problems:

I have read this manual, it is extensive and promising and offers many approaches. Please follow the instructions exactly. If you use it only superficially you will not succeed.
