2 screens connected but one only works if it is connected alone?

I have connected 2 screens (1 hdmi the other dp) when i start the pc and both are connected there's no picture for both if only the hdmi is connected there's a picture and if the dp is only connected there's none

i tried to use the screen on a laptop (the dp) but the screen was not recognized

I also tried to use the screen with the hdmi cable of the other screen, which also did not work

St

Have you set both correctly? I assume you are using Windows (10). Press Win + P and click on "Expand screen"

Alternatively, if that should be the case, try a different connection with the "DP monitor"

Fr

No picture is displayed when i connect both so i can't press anything i had the screen for a long time and it suddenly stopped working

Fr

And had therefore used the screen for a long time and it always worked smoothly

St

Well, if one monitor "suddenly doesn't work anymore", it could have a defect. However, something like that can be rated very poorly on the Internet.

Make sure again that all cables are properly plugged in. Test other connections on the monitor - again on other devices.

Fr

And I've already tested the monitor with hdmi and didn't work either

St

Nice. Even more confirms the presumption that defective. Still can't be said for sure about the internet.

Fr

I've tried everything does not work is apparently defective thanks anyway

oy

Are you sure the DP monitor is working?
Tried another dp cable if the correct input was selected when connected to HDMI?

Fr

Yes i have chosen the right input and i'm 99 percent sure that the monitor doesn't work because it doesn't work on any other device either

Take out the startup booster… HP computers like to have exactly this problem! With our "old box" it was the same for many updates… Then the booster was taken out again and everything worked!
