Why doesn't pre-cueing work?

I bought a Hercules Inpulse 500 and have already downloaded Djuced and set everything up. I tried around a bit and found that everything worked fine, except for 'pre-listening' with my headphones. There's just no music. My information: My Inpulse 500 is connected to my laptop with the USB cable and my JBL Charge 3 is connected to my laptop with a jack cable. I plugged my headphones into the headphone plug of the controller and pressed the pre-cueing button, but unfortunately I can't hear anything. What is that about?

Your controller needs an audio source and that is not via USB. That's why he has his RCA inputs at the back so he knows what's going on. Master, Booth, etc. Your JBL Charge with a jack on your laptop will do you absolutely nothing. Just to give you an idea. Buy the length you need because it is only 30cm long and best in a music store. After that, the cue also works.

It is of course incorrect that the controller does not receive the audio signal via USB. On the contrary, this is exactly the usual way.

The problem is that you tell your laptop that it should output the audio signal to the speaker via the jack. This way would be correct:

Unplug the speaker from the laptop
Controller via USB to the laptop
Headphones to the headphone socket of the controller
Loudspeaker to the master out of the controller
Set the controller as a sound card in the software
Assign Master Out and Cue Out appropriately in the software.

Right, that was unfortunate. I meant that the pre-cueing with the JBL gets absolutely no audio when it is on the PC and not on the controller.
