Headset problem?

I bought a new PC and now my headset does not work or my microphone. My headset works wonderfully on my laptop and the Ps4. I also updated all the drivers and stuff, but still can't speak. I also got a jack adapter for the headset and it doesn't work with that either. I'm slowly getting desperate, I'm grateful for any help.
