Simply rename the file so that it has the correct extension. If it now ends in .jpg, that is probably the correct file type - some program has loaded the GIF file, converted it and saved it again as a JPG. That means, with xyz.gif.jpg the ".gif" is probably wrong now.
You confused something. I'm helping but I don't want pictures that are private for some? Is that why be so weird?
