For some time the battery is broken on our Medion notebook and we use it
therefore only with the Netzkebel.
However, it crashes sometimes in the middle of the application and the
Internet connection is sometimes cut.
Does the defective battery affect the described incidents?
Against question. Did you do something on the battery? Is it possible to remove the battery without unscrewing? Did you notice a strange smell?
If the power cord is secure, the power supply is okay. If there's a loose contact, the computer would go out directly: black screen and you have to restart again to use it. However, the crash of a single application or an unstable internet connection is not possible. Consequently, there are other causes for it. Research further. Look in the event log. Are there error messages? LAN or WLAN?
I've been using several laptops reliably for years without a battery. Some do not even start without a battery.
A defective battery always has a negative effect.
In most cases, the battery is also used to intercept very high loads… Some laptops do not even start without a battery.
It is even worse if it is really broken and not just "empty" or "unable to load".
