I have the problem: my camera on the laptop does not work.
But I have installed and updated all drivers.
In the device manager the device status says "device is not working properly" but neither an error code nor anything else is given. Then what could it be?
Is there such a cover in front of it? Or what is displayed when you turn it on?
Either it is the driver or the webcam is damaged!
I once experienced something similar with a WLAN stick: when I reinstalled an ancient driver over it, it suddenly worked again! So try to install an older driver. If the webcam still does not work, it is a hardware problem.
