If I choose during the installation of Ubuntu Budgie 18:04 that the entire hard drive is to be encrypted, I then put my notebook in the standby (collapse) and have set that the screen is locked (say you have to enter the password after opening in order to System) then protects the encryption yet? Because eigtl she is there already open. Or you can't pass the login password?
Because everytime I do not want to shut down my laptop eigtl.

A clear: Jain.

Your PC is obviously safer in the off state, as only closed - because of course, even in the closed state, the passwords in memory.

Of course, the software-based password protection should be sufficient that nobody can get there. Still, you always run the risk of having a security hole somewhere - even if it's a stick that automatically triggers some faulty routine in the kernel. Unlikely, but definitely worth mentioning.

Exactly, the other day I read something there again:

In essence, you freeze the RAM cells, restart the PC very quickly - and due to adverse physical conditions, the RAM is not properly erased due to the low temperature → keys are still there when the attacker boots his customized system.

So summarized:

Privately, I would not worry about that. Quite simply, you definitely can't get at the data. If someone tries it professionally, it will be interesting.
