Laptop or tablet with a keyboard?

I need a new laptop. It is important that it is not too big and that I can be mobile with it. Now the question is whether a tablet with a keyboard is better under these circumstances. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the two options?

Does it depend on what you want / have to do with the device?

A tablet with a keyboard is easily enough for university, so to write, surf, watch movies…

As soon as you need performance, rather than gaming, image / video editing, renderings etc, you need a laptop.

I recommend a laptop with a 14 inch screen size… I have it myself and I'm satisfied (Lenovo c940) but I also have it not only for bissle office.

I would recommend one of the cheaper Think Pads, they have an extremely good keyboard…

I mainly need the part for writing and surfing. And, as I said, it should be easy to transport and not take up too much space.

With the laptop you just have the many programs and games that you probably need. But if you have another computer, you don't necessarily need a laptop. With the iPad you can paint, draw, write, surf, watch movies. Especially the Apple Pencil is an argument for an iPad. Both devices are portable, there are also really small laptops!

Yes, these solutions are more expensive than a real notebook, and much more expensive than a pure tablet.

But it's best to start by asking what purposes your new device is supposed to serve? For tablets with Bluetooth, there are also compact keyboards with their own battery or rechargeable battery supply for school or university.

Then only a cover with foldable elements, if necessary, so that you could set up the tablet at a 45 degree angle on a table. A purchased BT keyboard with its own power supply does not have to be much larger than a 10 "tablet.

Apple, Microsoft and Google also offer office software for tablets. Suitable BT keyboards work almost automatically on BT-compatible tablets after pairing.
