Just install on an old thinkpad (i5, 1.9GHz, 8gb RAM) via oracel vm a windows 7 32bit system. Have the first attempt after about one hour canceled. Now I've run the taskmanager by the way to see the CPU usage, or whether the program works at all. Unfortunately there's always 0% utilization.
What could be the reason?
If you have a normal HDD installed, then it takes a long time. Just look at your HDD lamp, that will probably shine permanently…

No, you do not have to hang on the internet. Normally, a Win7 installation on the plate takes about 25min with ner SSD. The VM is a few percent slower. That should not be hours, but the CPU is not the fastest. Not every SSD is equally fast - if it's a cheap SSD, you might not have much faster access times than with an HDD.
