How can I format my laptop without deleting Windows? I only have one hard drive with only 1GB left on it because I only have a 30GB hard drive for my small laptop.
You can't delete Windows
Is it still possible to clean the hard drive?
Formatting means deleting everything → Windows included.
Do you just happen to want to free up some space?
That's fine
Yes, I've already tried it, but the more and more memory steals.
What does that mean? Windows can be deleted from hard drives without any problems.
Reset or reinstall Windows. In the settings it is also possible to delete temporary files somewhere, some of which are several GB in size
Tip: compress memory
Can't reset, too little memory
Which Windows do you have?
Win10
You won't have to get around a new hard drive. 30GB is far too thick for Windows 10 …
What are you using the laptop for? If you use it e.g. Only for the Internet, watching films, listening to music, writing texts, I can also recommend installing the Bliss OS operating system on it. This is an Android operating system with a start menu and taskbar and is adapted to the operation of keyboard / mouse / touchpad. This also requires little system resources and only takes up about 3GB of hard disk space. This then gives you enough space for apps. Windows, on the other hand, is a lame duck.
Here is the download: https://blissos.org/
After the download, write the ISO with this tool https://www.balena.io/...io/etcher/ on an empty formatted stick. If there are problems with this tool, you can also use Rufus https://rufus.ie/de/. Then boot the stick and follow the instructions of the wizard. It offers the possibility to delete everything. One should do that. After the installation everything is in English for the time being. You can switch to German in the Android settings. The Google Play Store is included.
You can also print with it. To do this, you need a wireless printer. All you have to do is install your printer brand's printing app via the Google Play Store.
