Bad resolution on the laptop?

Can you change the quality of videos such as Netflix or is this laptop for other things. I bought it mainly for work. The quality of Netflix improves when I start it from Chrome, but it's still not ideal. My internet connection is good and the other laptop, which is much cheaper, it works great. The maximum quality is available (HD), but it still looks very bad
