Do you need an e-reader to buy amazon kindle?

Hello that is a very important question and i will have finished school in 2 days and must have finished reading a book (the wave) the problem is i haven't ordered it yet. But I think there are also digital versions. So can I read amazon kindle on my laptop too? And is that the same version as in the book?

If not someone can help me, what I can do maybe there are other sites where you can buy digital books.

No. You can also read it on a tablet or smartphone. All you need is the Kindle app.

Ebooks can also be read on a PC, tablet or smartphone.
(Reading is of course more comfortable and eye-friendly on the ebook reader)

Do you have a library card and credentials from the city library? Then you can also borrow the eBook online for free from the library's online loan: http://www.onleihe.net or the online loan app

If you want to buy the eBook, you can either buy it from Amazon as a Kindle eBook, or from one of the German book shops (Hugendubel, Thalia, Weltbild, …) as an eBook in ePub format.
These are 2 different systems (formats):
- either Amazon Kindle
- or the system supported by the German book trade.
The prices are the same everywhere.
