I got Battlefront II of course when it was free in the EpicGames Store.
Unfortunately I have a bad download rate in my room, i.e. On my PC, and it would take 23 hours.
Now I asked myself whether it would be possible for me to download the game on my laptop (in the basement, with good internet) and then to drag the game (the files) onto my PC.
I just don't know if and how it works.
Would be nice if someone could help me.
Just bring your PC to the basement
That kind of makes sense, but then I'd have to dismantle my entire setup.
I think it's not that easy (but I'm not sure)
Just put your PC in the basement?
A LAN cable would work too if you hate such a long one
Isn't it possible if you simply remove the drive from your PC and connect it to the laptop, install the game and then back into the PC?
No, unfortunately not that long, at the moment my internet is plugged in, it works fine, but the upload and download rate is just bad
Yes, that should work for most games. Adding downloaded games is a bit annoying with Epic, here are instructions.
That's fine.
Download it to your laptop.
Then copy it into a directory of your choice on your desktop PC.
Then start EpicGames on your desktop and start downloading the game you want.
Then stop the download.
Quit EpicGames.
Copy your previously copied game into the EpicGames directory.
Start EpicGames.
Start the download again.
EpicGames will determine that the download is already finished.
and everything is good
