Do laptops theoretically run without a battery?

But I also heard from someone that the battery discharges while playing, despite being connected to the mains. LG

Basically yes. I also operated mine without a battery at times.

St

In principle, yes

But there are models that do not work without a battery, even if they are connected to the power supply

Then there are more and more models in which the battery is permanently installed

do

Theoretically yes. However, it is possible that the full performance can't be demanded. As you said "battery discharged".

This often happens when the manufacturer thinks they have to include undersized power supplies. My Thinkpad X230 only ran at 800MHz CPU without a battery. Only the 95 watt power supply provided a remedy. Originally a 65 watt power supply was included.

I took my battery out of my ASUS laptop. Fully charged, it lies wrapped in a plastic bag in the side door of the refrigerator. Advantage that it lasts longer and every 1/2 year I install it and reload it.

But why are you doing this Do you only use it when you need it? Rebuilding takes a long time.

Open the slide of the battery cover on the floor, remove the battery, close the battery cover and put the battery in the refrigerator door. Laptop is the second computer and is always connected to the electricity at home. Tablet and mobile phone are on the go. And unfortunately you have to laboriously expand or install your stop. Such a battery normally lasts 3-7 years, mine is almost 12 years old.
