My laptop Acer Aspire E17 only runs without battery with power supply, because when the battery is connected and in addition the power supply, it turns off after about 5 seconds. There's no battery found. The battery is defective, however, the laptop ran while it was connected to the mains synonymous with a connected battery perfectly.
Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?
Would appreciate answers.
If the battery is defective then out with it and off to the collection point. A defective battery can always pose a danger. If the laptop on the power supply is still everything fits. Can you buy a spare battery?
I think if you use your laptop without a battery, then it is simply powered. If your defective battery is connected, then your laptop will turn off the charger so nothing will happen. Get a new battery then it would have to go. Was with me too.
Get a new battery.
The laptop also works when it hangs from the power cord without a battery being installed. (mostly and as it sounds to you as well).
The battery seems to be defective and you should dispose of it as quickly as possible.
