Notebook runs out despite battery?

I have a problem with my Acer A515-51G. As soon as I do not supply the laptop with power externally (only run it on the battery) it happens that it simply goes out completely without warning. By this I mean that it does not shut down, but simply goes out completely (black screen).
I can then start the laptop again immediately (only with battery operation) and use it until it goes out again (i.e. The battery does not discharge!). Sometimes this happens after 5 minutes, sometimes after 2 hours.

The whole thing has happened about 30-40 times in the past months, but only when I use the battery. As soon as the external power supply is connected, the laptop runs perfectly. There's also no entry in the event memory, except for code 41 …

I opened the laptop and checked all internal connections.

Does anyone have an idea to solve the problem?

Well, it is obvious, your battery is defective and causes the crashes

Ab

Your battery has exceeded its life expectancy - and should long for nirvana.

One cell, 2 cells? Something is in the bucket.

It is quite possible that the battery is broken. If the laptop has been running for more than 3 years. Was the case with me too. Screw on the laptop, check which battery is installed and order a new one.

A real shame, since the LAptop was only bought in 2018 … But I've already installed a new fan, so it should be done with the guarantee anyway…

Guess was already there… Well, probably will not get around a new battery, thanks.

Okay thanks.

The small cover under which the main memory is located should hold a small microswitch pressed. This switch electrically disconnects the battery when this cover is open. If it no longer keeps it stable (screw not tightened, housing distorted or similar), it can happen that the battery is deactivated once in a while. Eg. When the device is moved.
