I hope you can help me with this question my question is that I play from time to time on my laptop GTA my laptop is the Acer Aspire 5 a515- 43 g and my problem is that the game does not run smoothly so 40 to 50 fps and still to be noted I play the game on the lowest graphics settings and I think that is completely fine but I want the game to run more smoothly from the FPS and so I wanted to ask if I expanded the RAM I currently have 8GB. And my main question is if I upgrade the ram to 32GB, does gta work better?

Women me on every answer: MFG TIM

I'm just a layperson, but I can tell you that you have given too little information and do not know one thing.

First of all, people also need information about the operating system, processor, RAM type, graphics card, PC type (presumably laptop / notebook), hard disk type (HDD, SSD), …
The second is, it should first be checked in the PC whether there are still RAM spaces available and how much RAM your PC supports.

That means if your computer only supports 12 GB and you still have a slot for RAM you need to buy a maximum of 4 GB DDR4 SDRAM, everything else would be useless since the computer can't use it.

Have a little bit of a look and ended up on YouTube and there asked for the 515 41g the Max. RAM and got 16 GB as an answer. Is not the same, but could be used as a guide. The only problem is how many slots your computer has, if only one you have to buy a 16 GB straight away if you want to have Max. You also have to be careful if you can put 2 in that both have the same Mhz number.

According to ACER, an SSD disk with Win10, 64bit is in it, which means that a hard disk change would not bring any acceleration if the data matches yours.

But it can also be that even if you upgrade, it will not get better, sometimes it is in the settings, or the computer composition and / drivers.

You can try taking out the filters in the game settings or changing their settings and see if this brings improvements.
See times in the Task Manager for what is going on in the background. If you have any unimportant things installed that run in the background, you can uninstall them if you want and release RAM.
If you play without an internet connection / connection you could deactivate the antivirus, which eats a lot of performance.

That is all I can say at the moment and hope it helps.

I can't tell you because I do not know how much RAM GTA5 needs and as I said, 32 GB RAM can buckle sometimes, if you can probably build a maximum of 16 GB, because the remaining 16 GB are ignored by the system.

If GTA needs around 6-8 GB of RAM, then acceleration alone can be necessary, because sometimes the system consumes 1-2 alone. Just try it with a total of 16 GB and even if it doesn't work you have room for games with more requirements, or you can read other things on the side.

To make you understand how confused and complex PC and games are. I had a game that crashed indiscriminately. At some point I deactivated the hardware acceleration of the sound card and it never happened again. The sound card was the last thing I would have expected as the cause.
