AMD or would you prefer Intel?

It is currently starting that more and more notebook manufacturers are installing the RTX30 series in their notebooks. And since I now think that it was time for something new again. I have now found a laptop, but one with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and the other with an i7-10750h. They also differ in other things such as the size etc., but I don't care. I'm purely about the CPU.

Both versions of the laptop:

Now my question would be: Are you worth the 200 euro on it, or is the i7 always enough in combination with the RTX3060? And what do you think of the laptop in general? Generally reasonable for the price?

Sa

The 5800H is a lot faster. Price is of course even higher, were only introduced a few days ago

Ay

Would that be "exaggerated" for an RTX 3060?

Ph

AMD what else

Sa

No

St

Definitely PRO AMD

It is a lot faster and more economical than the Intel and, according to the information, available two months earlier than the Intel counterpart and at the price I wouldn't worry about it, in the three or even five months there can be a lot more to change. Whereby I claim that it goes up rather than down… Unfortunately

Take the laptop with an AMD CPU. In general, you now have a much better price-performance ratio with AMD CPUs, whether it's a laptop or desktop. The power consumption of AMD CPUs is also lower and if you should only run on the integrated graphics card because you want to save power, it is also significantly faster than the integrated graphics cards of Intel CPUs.

Ay

Thanks for your answer. The other answers also indicate that AMD would be the better choice. I took another look and then found this computer with an RTX3070 instead of a 3060 (and for the same price and apparently the same equipment). Shouldn't I focus on this one instead? https://www.notebooksbilliger.de/...ing+692664

St

Sure, if you get a 3070 instead of a 3060 for the same price, then that makes sense

But as I already wrote: You are on the lookout for notebooks that are expected to be on the market in three to five months

Until then, there will be plenty of time for Acer to adjust the prices

Ay

Yes, of course you're right. But I think waiting is currently the better decision than buying another from the RTX20 series.

St

Definitely THAT. I'm completely with you

But first wait until the parts are really on the market and available and then you can look at the prices and the equipment and decide
