I got a new notebook. The email address is the same as on my mobile phone. Now I can send e-mails to my cell phone with the same e-mail, but my laptop does not get into the e-mail when I send something from my cell phone to the laptop.
In the same way, I would have to receive the normal e-mails on my cell phone and on my laptop. Nothing comes there either.
Do you know what to do?
PS: my phone is a Samsung S9, laptop Acer Aspire 5
Did you set up your email address correctly on the notebook?
Does your laptop have internet? Is the account set up correctly? Do you need to sync with a web account first?
My Gmail account was synced via outlock. Do you mean this synchronization?
Depending on how Google acts its server, it can be due to the mailbox type!
What is a mailbox type anyway?
There are two types:
POP3
IMAP
With POP3, the mail is downloaded directly from the mail server - depending on the setting, but no copy is stored on the server - that is, the mail is downloaded once and is then no longer available on the server, but only locally!
With IMAP, on the other hand, the mail is copied from the server and thus remains on the server until the mail is deleted. This means that mails from one IMAP account can be downloaded and viewed on several accounts
So that means, if the settings are wrong, it may be that your mails are available on one device, but therefore no longer on the second device, because the mail is no longer on the server!
