I would like to upgrade my laptop. And I want to miss a new graphics card. I've seen on YouTube that it's possible to connect a graphics card of your choice externally to a laptop. Although about 10% of the power is lost, but this is even better than my conventional graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 940MX with 2 GB VRAM). My question is whether anyone knows a good graphics card (no 1080 Ti or 2080, since they are very expensive), with which you can play on high settings such as games like Fortnite with over 60 FPS? Does anyone have any recommendations? And if so, how should I connect them to my laptop? PS: I know it's better to buy a PC, but I still want to do this. And is this compatible with any laptop (have an Acer Aspire F15)? And what happens to the old map? Can it just stand there or do I have to remove or disable somehow?
You can ignore the old graphics unit (after all, there are also PCs with multiple graphics units and they have no problem).
Are you the one who has already posted a laptop upgrading question, where I then sent the video (from AlexiBexi) with the external video card in response? No matter.
EDIT: Yeah, that's you (just checked).
So I have a GTX 1070 in my PC, with which I can play any game I own on Ultra (this includes ARK.). I do not know if this is for you from the price…
But synonymous your CPU should fit, because a good graphics card with a k * ck CPU does not bring you much.
In addition, an external graphics card is only possible with notebooks with a Thunderbolt connection (was also mentioned in the video).
Yes, that's me xD I just approached the method.
Is that the only way…
You could try Cloud Gaming. Most gamers are convinced, but only for people with good internet.
NVIDIA has a very good service there.
Okey, I'll do it. Have very fast Internet ^^
OK thanks!
External graphics cards are very expensive and only work with PCIe - based datalinks like Thunderbolt 3 (normally only distributed by Apple), or generally from USB 3.0 or 3.1 V2; and PCIe - based PCMCIA
However, you can't have an Apple Book because then no Nvidia Geforce would be installed.
In terms of price, it could be quite interesting to sell the current book and then use another book with a better graphics solution instead of thinking of an external GPU.
