Moin, I own the "Acer Espire V5-571G" (standard: NVIDIA GeForce 710M, Intel Core i3-2375M 2x 1.5GHz, 4GB Ram, 700GB HDD, and have already expanded the main memory by another 4 GB RAM, i.e. 8 GB now.

Is it worth replacing the 700GB HDD with a 256GB SSD (6GB / S)? Is the PC much faster in the office or also in the browser and with games like Minecraft?

Is it worth swapping the i3-2375M with a better Intel processor? Which would be the best? 20 euro ~ used on Ebay I would then buy it. Is there a difference between laptop CPUs and CPUs that are installed on a PC mainboard?

I would be happy if you answer these questions!

The whole system is definitely more fluid. It shouldn't affect your Minecraft FPS though. An SSD as a system data carrier is always worthwhile.

In almost all cases, laptop CPUs are soldered and not socketed. They also differ in TDP from desktop CPUs. Therefore, that will probably not be possible.

You will definitely benefit from an SSD, even if it does not improve your performance. Everything is much faster and smoother, but you don't have more FPS.

Replacing components in a laptop is almost impossible and not worth the effort.

Okey perfect thanks! Are there any other ways to speed up my laptop?

RAM can often be upgraded. If it can, it's very easy. 8GB would be very good, preferably dual channel.

Lo

I upgraded from 4GB RAM to 8GB Ram Dual Channel, but expanding to 16GB Ram is too expensive for my laptop because I would need 2x 8mm.

I'll do that with the SSD later!

I notice that my laptop gets a little louder and gets warm more often. Is it worth placing a "laptop fan" under the laptop? Or does this rather confuse and damage my laptop? Maybe open the laptop (do I already know my way around) and clean the fan?

li

16GB are not worthwhile with the requirements anyway. 8GB are sufficient.

Such laptop coolers do not do that much, it is more effective to clean the fan and cooler and possibly to renew the thermal paste.

Thank-you!
