My laptop hard drive is apparently broken. Now I was in a normal repair in a small shop, which unfortunately could not save the data and will now install a new hard drive. Now my question is: Is it really impossible to repair a broken hard drive that has fallen from a height of one meter and is still installed in the laptop (more protection).
And who could really fix something like this if these small shops couldn't. Maybe Saturn or others?
I don't know, but nowadays it should be possible to repair something technically broken, i.e. Technical damage, not materialistic.
There are specialist companies that do this. You will find what you are looking for on the Internet.
It's hard to save something like that, if you can save the hard drive, it could be that a few files are no longer there.
It is not impossible. There are companies that specialize in data recovery from damaged hard drives. They take things apart and replace all defective parts if possible.
Costs between 500 and 5000 euro - depending on how complicated it is.
Say wires like this, as long as the platters in the hard disk are still intact, you can also save the data from them. Depending on what exactly is defective, this can be very expensive fun and you have to ask yourself whether it is worth it for data that is not important.
Fallen down? This does not look good.
On the other hand, such repair shops have only broken one computer to determine.
Give the record to someone who can test it on Linux. There may be more to be done. I could make broken Windows disks readable again.
Usually from four digits upwards…
