ASUS laptop hangs when booting. What can I do?

Unfortunately, my family has the stupid habit of simply pulling out the plug when they no longer need the laptop instead of shutting it down properly. Unfortunately it happened and the laptop can't boot normally. This is an ASUS laptop and at the very beginning when booting it appears that ASUS logo and that's where it gets stuck. Have already asked a few acquaintances, but said that I would have to reinstall Windows completely, because all the data, etc. Were confused by the constant plug pulling and it is not otherwise save. The only problem is that there are still files on the laptop that are needed. Anyone having an idea how to fix the laptop or how to get the files to another pc or hard drive without powering up the pc?

You can remove the hard drive and pack it in an external case and connect it to another PC via USB or install it directly into the PC (saves the case). Alternatively start with Linux boot CD or USB stick and then copy down data.

If the laptop beeps more often at the beginning (see BEEP codes link below for analysis), if necessary, replace defective part (eg GraKa or RAM, if dedicated / separate).

Reading the files should not be a problem…

the lappi without reinstalling to run again is another house number.

does the laptop start in safe mode?

The calculator can be started in safe mode if you press the key combination Ctrl + F8 during the boot process before the Windows character appears. Thus, the start manager is called and you can start the computer in safe mode.

On

Prepare a boot medium for a Linux system, boot from this into the Linux Live system and put the data on a stick

Or remove the hard drive and hook it into a PC, and then save your data to a storage device of your choice.

Graka will not go, as it is usually firmly installed in laptops

Probably with ASUS, probably

Le

Is not better on my lenovo…

I hardly know lappies with separate graka

Ke

No, unfortunately not…

Le

Oh well, then it has torn your windof probably right…

the colleagues here have already written it several times… Create a boot stick with nem linux live system… So you get your data quite easy ran and you can secure externally before you go to the heart of the computer.

Creating a drive is very easy with this program for lukewarm.

I booted a USB stick. Somehow that's weird, because booting was successful according to the boot-software and also the stick was renamed in the system, but the stick is still empty. I tried the stick anyway, but it stays on the ASUS start screen…

So you ended up in a Linux live system? Because there you can easily save all data down.

Ke

Unfortunately no chance, he always gets stuck with the ASUS logo…

Then maybe what's wrong with the hardware? If you have several RAM bars in it, put only one of them in turns - if necessary, it will start. I do not have much experience with Linux boot systems, but actually it should start if the boot media is ok - could you choose Linux to boot? → if necessary adjust the BIOS boot sequence (press ENF or F12 or F9 on startup - is usually somewhere at boot)
