My father does not know anything about technology etc. And gave me an Asus Chromebook laptop for my birthday that works differently, such as windows pc's or mac etc. I obviously do not want to be ungrateful and I'm also happy that my father gives me a laptop nevertheless I would get along better with Windows.
So I would like to download Windows, but since you first have to buy a license, I want to be sure that I can also download things or games and play them like on a Windows laptop. There's a Play Store on the Chromebook where you can download the games and I find that pretty stupid because I can't download ' normal '' games that are not available in the Play Store. So my question is: If you download Windows, you can also download games - I say download manually and don't just have to play them from the Playstore?
Yes, you can install Windows, but it's not as easy as on a PC.
But gives instructions on the Internet.
Games can be downloaded and installed.
Whether you can play them depends on the system requirements of the individual games.
Since you have not written WHAT Chromebook you have, I can unfortunately not look up what hardware is installed there.
Thanks for the answer first.
Can you tell me where I can check what Chromebook I have because I don't have any packaging or anything where you could read it.
Unfortunately, you didn't mention which Chromebook you have, but before you install Windows, you can try NVIDIA GeForce Now. Is a cloud gaming service and is available in a free (limited to 1 hour per session) and paid version (5.49 euro per month).
You can download the app as normal in the PlayStore and can play some Windows titles with it.
Thank you, I'll try it, I think.
Unfortunately, I don't know where to check which Chromebook I have
KA like Chromebooks. See if there's a sticker underneath.
Will be done
There's now Acer CB314. I have no idea if that's correct, at least I accidentally said Asus instead of Acer xD

Is a low end device. So quite weak equipment.
Processor is an Intel Celeron N4100 with 1.1 GHz; Intel UHD Graphics 600; 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM.
Honestly, the thing is meant for Office applications and apps from the Chrome Store. Great other games will hardly run smart on it.
That could be the only thing for you. Because real games directly on the Chromebook (model see below) will hardly run there.
I play a game on it and it actually works perfectly
