I got a new notebook today. It was relatively cheap and not such a high-tech thing but for me it's enough (I'm only 14). I'd like to install some stuff right now (Google Chrome and some games), but that's safe mode. Although you can turn it off but I'm kinda scared that I scrape the computer because of the fact already from the beginning not soo extremely powerful and this security mode makes the PC somehow "better". Besides, that seems to be quite a big deal because somehow it takes a long time to install… So my notebook will be a lot slower or something after that? I have an Asus Vivobook x405 (I think that's called the xD)
The secured mode is actually only there to provide a secure version of the system without external drivers etc. In case of a defect of the computer. The mode is not intended for everyday use.
If the notebook was really that weak, I'd suggest you think about switching to Ubuntu. Although a certain getting used to, but for office work's always enough.
The actual question, how to get out of the mode:
Press "Windows + R". It opens a small window called "Run".
Here you enter "msconfig" and confirm this by clicking on "Ok".
The system configuration window opens. In the tab "Start" you remove the hook at "Safe Start". You confirm this by clicking on "Apply".
Now you can restart your computer, safe mode should be disabled.
