CPU or graphics card replace the laptop?

I have now bought a used Lenovo Legion Y520, the performance of some games I personally do not like quite right, now I thought I still have my old laptop an Asus ROG G751JT.

The ROG has an i74720 with 2.49 octa, the lenovo unfortunately only a i57300HQ 2.5 quad, can I exchange processor or simply change?

The other idea is to grab the video card from the Lenovo 1050ti in the ROG because it only has a 960M.

Your idea is not feasible. Laptops are i.d.R. Neither designed to replace the graphics unit nor the CPU.

Of course that does not work.

Reason: Other socket of the CPUs, or is not supported by motherboard. Besides, it does not pay, as both are almost equally fast.

And graphics card can be forgotten with notebooks anyway.

Therefore, as always: When it comes to gambling, you do not really get around a PC. And cheaper he is synonymous with the same performance.

Thanks for the quick answer first.

Is there then a way to high CPU clocks, according to Intel, you can clock it up to 3.5Ghz, how exactly does I know unfortunately not.

Also have an extra cooling for the laptop.

With the RAM I have also packed one because there was still a slot free, which worked wonderfully.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

No problem.

No, this is not possible with notebooks due to cooling. The 3.5 GHz refers to the boost clock of the CPU, but this is automatically regulated. For a short time, it can then clock to 3.5 GHz, as soon as it gets warmer the clock is reduced (to explain it roughly).

These extra coolings usually do not bring too much, as the vents are often relatively small at the bottom.

RAM and hard drive (s) can often (not always) be replaced and upgraded with notebooks, but that's about it. For Office and Co, this is not a problem, but for gaming in the long run but already… In your case, there's unfortunately really nothing left to do. Next time buy a PC.
