Hi. I started up my Asus laptop and suddenly my Welan symbol was gone & this circle was there and I can no longer use the Internet. I tried to get it back, but I'm just afraid I made it worse 😶. Can someone tell me what I can do or what the problem is?
Could it be that you have deactivated your Wi-Fi? Look at your keyboard. You have several pictures above the actual buttons. At the bottom right you should have an FN (function key). Press this and the corresponding Wi-Fi button.
Then the adapter is displayed. The question is whether only the driver is gone or whether the device is defective and therefore missing.
Would you like to see if your device manager lists an unknown device?
Because my guess is that you only have to reinstall the driver of the Wi-Fi card.
This is also a premiere.
I have never read Welan. 😀
There are several options here.
1. Wi-Fi deactivated at the push of a button. Mostly FN + some F key
2. Your Wi-Fi module in the laptop is broken.
3. Your driver for the wireless module no longer works. Should actually be installed automatically by Windows on restart.
4. Your Windows is damaged and can't install drivers.
Take a look at the page, enter the model of your notebook or the serial number of the NB and download the network driver for the Wi-Fi there.
I think flight mode is active. Switch off the.
First check whether the WLAN is accidentally switched off (switch, FN buttons, flight mode active?).
If it continues to strike, you can follow these instructions from Microsoft:
(not exactly for your laptop, but this is the correct procedure)
