I forgot my password and want to delete all data before I sell. Only the part does not eat anything. First the attempt to reset the password. Will not be accepted. Then boot with UBUNTU from the USB stick, but the BIOS says "Boot Option # 2 (Disable), and I can't get rid of that with the arrow keys. The stick lights up, is it recognized? Honestly, you don't sell something like that with third-party data, never. Does anyone have an idea?
Delete partition.
Or maybe your Ubuntu just doesn't work.
However, I recommend encrypting everything for normal use anyway, because it is time-consuming to delete data so that it can't be recovered and that is very bad with SSDs
In addition, nobody can access it without a password. (Can be made out)
Thanks but how do i do this?
Very simple: go to Disk Management and right click on the partition, then select delete.
