The cell phone turns on, I can hear that from the sound, but the screen remains completely black.
I didn't save my data on Google Images or Drive or anything, because I was always very skeptical about something like that. The only thing I did (happened to be a week before the cell phone broke) is a backup. I assumed that everything would be saved somewhere. But now I know that this is not the case and that you can only restore a few settings on a new device.
Simply accessing it via the USB cable on the computer does not work because I have a lock pattern in it.
I also don't have debugging on.
I tried to blindly trace the pattern on the black screen with an adapter and a mouse, but it didn't work.
I tried to mirror the display on a screen and laptop with a VGA adapter, but the screen and laptop somehow do not recognize the smartphone.
I also don't have Bluetooth activated in my cell phone
Data recovery programs from the Internet do not help either. There's only a relatively small selection from which Samsung phones can be recovered. The A40 is of course not included.
It doesn't work with the Find-my-Phone website from Samsung either, because the function in the mobile phone itself is switched off for me. Strangely, I can locate it via this website and let the doorbell ring but no data is transmitted. When I click on Transfer data, the computer works for hours, but no data is transferred.
I don't want to send it to professional data recovery either, because it is simply too expensive for me and is probably more expensive than the cell phone itself.
Who can help me? There must still be options? Can you somehow expand the internal memory and read it off or something doesn't work?
Would be very grateful for an answer
Connect the memory elsewhere. I know there are few options but have a look at a cell phone repair shop, etc.
That sounds like a case for a prof. Data saver. You won't be able to do a lot yourself!
PS.: Have a PM.
Buy a display for 90 euro and install it
You can always find videos on YouTube to swap the display.
The 90 euro wouldn't have been thrown out either, the cell phone would then work again
